Enrollment Requirements

Age Requirements

Kindergarten: Students must be 5 years old on or before October 1, 2026

1st Grade: Students must be 6 years old on or before October 1, 2026

DOCUMENTATION

Documentation Needed

Once your child is offered enrollment, you will need to provide:
  • Proof of Age: Birth certificate or passport
  • Proof of Residency: Utility bill, lease agreement, or mortgage statement showing Colorado address
  • Immunization Records: Current Colorado immunization certificate or valid exemption
  • Previous School Records: Report cards and transcripts (for students entering grades 1-5)
  • IEP or 504 Plan: If applicable, to ensure appropriate support services

RESIDENCY

Colorado Residency

As a public charter school, MCA is open to all Colorado residents. Enrollment preference is given to students residing within Montrose County School District boundaries.
