SPED Teacher

POSITION DETAILS

  • Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt
  • Work Schedule: 192 calendar days per school year (approximately July 20 – May 14), per the MCA school calendar
  • Work Location: Montrose Classical Academy, Montrose, Colorado
  • Work Setting: In-person only. This is not a remote or hybrid position. All duties are performed on-site at MCA's school facility.
  • Reports To: School Leader (Principal) or Special Education Coordinator
  • Start Date: July 20, 2026

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a founding Special Education Teacher at MCA, you will deliver content-rich classroom instruction. You will work in close collaboration with your colleagues, the School Leader, families, and Montrose County School District to ensure every student with disabilities receives a free and appropriate public education in an environment that celebrates their unique brilliance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a founding classroom teacher at MCA, you will deliver rigorous, content-rich instruction aligned with the Core Knowledge Sequence and MCA's classical education philosophy. Working alongside a trained paraprofessional and in close collaboration with your colleagues, you will shape the academic and character development of every student in your care.
